What is it?
A 10 week programme aimed at getting young people aged 16 - 18 interested in starting on an NVQ Level 1 in a preferred vocational area. How will it work?
Learners will attend NTC 2 days a week for training in Retail Skills, Literacy, Numeracy and ICT, as well as doing a few days a week in a work placement. On Track is roll-on roll-off so learners may start at any time.
Learners will do a minimum of 12 hours a week. They can do more hours in their placements if they wish to.
Benefits of doing the course
Learners will have the chance to do short courses in First Aid and Fire Awareness and complete CIEH Level 1 Health and Safety Awareness.
Learners will work towards an NVQ Level 1 in a preferred vocational area. If they do not complete in the 10 weeks they can move on to e2e to complete.
Learners are eligible for EMA.
All learners on the course will have their travel costs refunded.
Progression
