New Home for NTC

A Nuneaton organisation that can help people develop skills and alter the course of their lives has found an additional new home. NTC training is looking forward to a bright new future in Anker House in what was the old Police Station next to the Yorkshire Bank opposite the Town Hall.

Members of the public were invited to an Open Day at the town ventre venue so they could see what was on offer.

Chief Executive Officer, Julie Sizer said 'People will know us as Nuneaton Training Centre from Orchard Street where we still are, but our new centre at Anker House makes us more accessible for learners of all ages and shows how serious we are about supporting local people and organisations to be successful'

The Mayor of Nuneaton and Bedworth, councillor Tom Wilson attended the Open Day to present certificates to learners. Also there was Ian Neale, chairman of Nuneaton Town Football Club and three of the players and NTC staff were on hand to answer questions and offer advice.

Nuneaton Carnival Queen Stephanie Sharrott also put in an appearance to add a touch of glamour to the occasion.

Taster sessions were on offer in First Aid, Fire Prevention, Health and Safety, Health and Social Care, Leadership and Management, Business and Administration and Entry to Employment as well as Manual Handling and Team Working.

NTC Training has been providing a better future for young people and adults in the Nuneaton area for 30 years by supporting them with training and development towards their career ambitions.

Julie Sizer said 'We cater for young people from 16 upwards and help them with apprenticeships and accreditation which helps in the advancement of their careers. We offer help and support on a wide range of issues connect with training and training skills and people are welcome to call in and see us at any time'.
